Strut

First night out with these and they had tears in the heel. They are a hard plastic surrounded with a thin pleather, which is easily damaged. I own over a dozen pairs of vogs and found the build quality on these by far the worst. I was given little help and lots of policy when I brought this up... and offered a expensive part to spend 100s in total to fix. I instead made minor repairs myself and covered them in little mirrors. Very cool. Bad taste in my mouth from customer service avoiding any responsibility, however I was able to turn the damage into an inspiring custom job that's even better.

Like the song says, these boots are made for walkin’ … and they’re made for prancing, dancing, sashaying, sauntering, swaggering, and traipsing down the runway that is life. The deets: they run true to size, but if you’re like me and have long toes, talk with your favorite fluevologist about sizing up (which is what I did). They have a calf circumference of approx. 16” (that’s how big around my calf is at the top of the boot & it fits snug, not tight). They are a true medium width, so folks with more girthy feet or high in-steps will want to get a long-handled shoe-horn and wear some slick socks so you can wriggle into them for the first few wears. These babies have a 4” heel, which raises me up to a fabulous 6’4” height (everybody already says I walk around with my head in the clouds). The solid platform and the chunky heel are super sturdy so I can do all the dirty dancing the cocktails tell me I can do. Since these are a light-color suede, and the glorious flowers are digitally printed, I will be spraying protector on mine every time I go out to make sure nobody’s sweat, sauce, or drinks stain my sweet bad gurrllll boots.

These boots are AHMAZING. I am so glad that I took the plunge and bought the florals because holy cow. They manage to be beautiful, sexy and quirky all at once AND they are super comfortable. I am a street size 7.5 and generally order an 8 in Fluevogs - this was the right call with this style. They are perfect in the foot, snug in the instep (which I like) and fit my calves well at about 14.5" around. The suede is very soft, so I imagine they'd take nicely to stretching should anyone need. If in doubt, size up for sure. These boots are everything you think and more - I adore them.

Wearing black & gold Struts feels like I'm wearing a piece of art. An insanely comfortable piece of art, mind you. Alternatively, it's like walking (strutting?) on clouds. I'm completely blown away by how comfortable these boots are. I was initially somewhat concerned that about the high heel/platform, but these exceeded all expectations. Did I mention that they are also breathtakingly beautiful? I usually wear size 9 (40 European), most of my fluevogs are size 9, and I got these in size 9 - a perfect fit. The area around ankles is a bit more roomy than Etta, top of the calves is similar (maybe a tiny bit narrower) than Bond Girls. Monika was great in helping me figure out sizing from across the country. Thank you! Just try them. Once they are on your feet you won't be able to resist them.

Wowza! The print on this suede is beyond amazing. The color saturation that Fluevog achieved is greater than anything I have ever seen in footwear before. This floral just pops. I am a street 7.5 without socks, 8 with socks, and I typically take an 8 in Fluevog boots. It was no different with the Strut. I am able to wear a nice, cushioned sock in these with ample room to "strut." The heel is less than 2" net so they are also very comfortable. Show stoppers worth adding to your collection!
