Gladstone

Ordered a half size smaller (see Fit Expert). Very roomy for a size 6. Brazilian made fits larger than Portugal-made. Not as comfortable as other Fluevog boots I own. Gorgeous though and I'm trying different ways to fill the very wide toe box (insoles, thick socks). I won't wear them for walks around town.

This November I splurged on these. They are now my favorite boots. Great with jeans, dresses, tights etc. I can wear them all day at work. I feel like I should be on the set of Wicked. Now the trick is to keep my daughter from stealing them when she is home for Christmas.

I have a half dozen or so Vogs and these are my favorites. They go with everything. I’m generally a size 11 … if these came in 11.5 I’d get that… they’re a smidge scrunchy in the toe box but I rarely wear heels anymore so that’s also just my foot-spread shape now that doesn’t like to be in heels for long. These are still great for up to 4 hours… at the 4 hour mark, I’m ready for lower shoes :) but that’s age, etc. I’m tall hence large size but I don’t have large calves, so didn’t have to adjust the lacing but I imagine it would be easy enough if you needed more room. But in my case, often larger size means too big on calves so bonus for me, I don’t have that issue in Gladstones.

I love these boots so incredibly much!! Not only are they eye-candy for the foot, but extremely comfortable! I wore these to a function and danced for about 3 hours straight!! Totally worth every penny spent!! Dope AF!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥

Love ❤️ these boots!! Adore the baby pink…missed 9 1/2 but 10 is roomy with socks! The patent leather is amazing soft like butter, shiny easy to clean! Thought there would be no give but comfy right out of the box even for a young 60ish! Love love them, my treasure!

Now that I figured out my Fluevog size, I can confidently buy online. My regular size is a nine, but my Fluevog size is a 9.5. Since the fit expert say these shoes fit true to size, I got the 9.5, and they were perfect. They are so comfortable to walk in, and the patent leather is so quality. I ended up getting the pink pair which I don't see here anymore. I doubt they've sold out since they had all sizes available once I bought mine, but I'm super happy I was able to pick mine up before they took it offline. The shoelaces are more like a ribbon, and I plan on getting other ribbons to put through the large eyelets of the shoe so I can wear all sorts of looks with them. The pink is my favorite kind of pink. Pastel with that patent leather shiny finish. I don't even have to break these in. They were comfortable right outside the box! I do wish they fit a bit closer to the calf, but my calves are pretty slender, and they really do look great anyway--especially right off the rack. I'd like to get other colors in the future as I'm obsessed with midcalf boots as of late. Overall, great shoe that fits surprisingly well!

Tracy if you changed the lace style on the right boot, it seems I am the lucky one of getting these boots in a size 11, so Thank You. Anyone buying these boots will be thrilled with them.

I typically wear a 9 which felt a bit snug so I bought the 9.5. They are comfy, gorgeous, so many compliments. Just sad that if I had waited a week I would have got another 15% off...

I am super disappointed in the fact the Rust coloured Gladstone was very narrow fitting. I have an average foot width but could not get these to fit well. Very tight across the footbed. They looked narrow when opening the box and no amount of opening the laces could make them fit comfortably. sigh. Well, as I purchased the last size 11 hopefully my loss will be someone else’s gain when they reappear on the website.

I suffered a massive disappointment in the form of an audition for a thing I really wanted (I was great, but it came down to type - it happens, no matter how great I was, they weren't going to want me, oh well). I was inconsolable for a week or so, then I picked myself up off the mat and made a deal with myself - next time auditions for the thing came round, I was going to go, kick ass (whether they wanted me or not), and then I was going to go downtown and reward myself with these boots. The next round of auditions came up, I had a timeslot scheduled, I was ready - and then the pandemic happened, and everything got cancelled. Fast forward two years. The auditions came round again, finally - virtual, as many are nowadays. I kicked ass as planned, and despite the virtual audition, I made a special trip in to the NYC store (I wanted to be able to try them on), and that rounded out the experience, since everyone at the NYC store was lovely and made the whole thing that much better. Thus, these are not just gorgeous footwear - they are my Get Up Off The Dirt Boots, and I wear them when I need soul-armour, and they make me feel better, just by existing (also, I get compliments on them ALL the time). I eventually want them in black as well as purple. Thank you, Fluevog!

I picked up the teal and the green/bird Gladstones, and they are a dream. I take anywhere from a 6.5 (Mini Booboo, but most Minis are a 7) to an 8.5 (Enneagram Spontaneous). I took these Gladstones an 8 and there is plenty of wiggle room. Maybe could do a 7.5, but did not try them. Great, versatile boot.

On IFD I bought the JF monogram Gladstones, and I am in love with them. The black, red, pink, and blue hues in this boot are all so wonderful. I'm currently breaking mine in. But they fit TTS in regards to 7.5 sizing on a narrow foot. I'm thinking of going for the Gladstone in black leather next.

I’ve lusted after a pair of Fluevogs for several years, but being in the UK, I was nervous about ordering a pair and then having to send them back as my closest store is in Amsterdam. My husband and I took our first child-free holiday since 2005, and went to New York - much excitement when I realised I would finally be able to visit a Fluevog store and try some on (it was literally our first destination after we’d checked into our hotel). The young lady who served me was so incredibly helpful, and after trying on a few different styles, the Gladstones in Rust were utterly me! I wore them for a full day on our last day in Manhattan and, in spite of being footsore from several days of several kilometres covered on foot, these beauties held up well in spite of the 2.5” heel (I was a bit nervous I’ll admit). They are beautifully constructed, soft, and supportive. I am utterly in love with them and want them in all the colours lol!

I have rather wide feet and a lot of shoes, if they are not specifically wide size, are not wearable. These boots, however, are roomy enough in the toe area that I can wear them without any problem and they’re actually comfortable, particularly for a boot with a bit of heel. I really love these boots. So much so that I ordered a pair of the taller ones.
